Rubicon Race Feedback
“My mum the complete anti sport came to watch me for the first time ever in any sporting event and thoroughly enjoyed it - saying how friendly and well organised it was, so thank you so much for making it so good for spectators as well. A big thank for a great day for all.”

“Just a quick email to say thank you for the weekends event. As a club we thoroughly enjoyed it and I can imagine we'll be back there again next year.”

“Thanks for results and thanks for a great event in a fantastic location, don't think the swim exit in any race i have done has been as stunning and the Piper just topped it off. My Husband and Daughter enjoyed cheering me and others on, it was a great venue for spectators and the support certainly helped boost me on each bike & run lap. Thanks to the marshals, especially the guy doing the rounds on the run course.”

“Newby was my first middle distance. My god, I found it hard, but very rewarding to have finished it. I thought the organisation was great, the setting brilliant. Next year I'm going to work on actually doing some targeted training for the event! I should also congratulate all your helpers, they were excellent. Can I particularly thank the guy running his "bar" on the back part of the 5k run circuits. He was a tonic to me, a real good dude. After three refusals I just had to take a drink from him, he was such a good guy!
My wife said it was the best one she has watched due to the great swim course and the fact that the run and bike came through the gardens multiple times. So, well done to all your team!
My only complaint? We need a bacon buttie and beef burger van at the end!

“I thought overall very well organised on the day, lots of marshalls, clear instructions without being overbearing and a really good atmosphere, I particularly liked the stuff to keep the younger kids like mine occupied over what was for me at least a long day. I thought your pre race comms were very good and unambiguous. Overall what really comes across is your own passion for the sport and real desire to give everyone, including the rest of the family a great experience on the day.”
“Firstly, can I say that I thought the Rubicon event that you and your team laid on over the weekend was excellent. It was my first attempt at the middle distance, and I am really glad that it was. You and your team made sure that it was a relaxed atmosphere while still managing to lay on a great race. It's a brilliant venue and a great course, with the added benefit of being allowed to camp in the grounds too. It made for a really good weekend, and of course I'd be happy to support you and your events in future.”

“Just a short note to congratulate you and the team on a well run event. Venue was fantastic, and the run in particular was beautiful. The bike offered the right balance between scenic and speed, with most people interested in fast times.”

“It was my first time stepping up from Olympic distance and I thoroughly enjoyed it, was a bit nervous of the river ure swim but shouldn't of been as it was fantastic, the marshals and all other volunteers where brilliant and the support and encouragement really pulled me through when the going was getting tough. Once again thank you for running a superb event and I will definitely be entering the trident event in June and again the Rubicon.”

Thanks for embarrassing my mates son Joe Stott aka the flying stottsman,
Myself and all the Rock Racers really appreciate all the effort and we'll be back next year to defend the team title.”

“Just wanted to drop you a thanks for the triathlon at the weekend, I thoroughly enjoyed it and having done many a triathlon in my time I thought it was the best organised so far. The run course in particular was great, although I'm not sure I'd have told you that as I finished the last lap.”
Tim Robinson
“Just to reiterate my thanks for a brilliant event. The organisation was first class, the marshals and helpers were really helpful and friendly and the whole crowd of athletes and spectators were fabulously supportive. I came in nearly last and they still had energy to cheer me on, and believe me that means a lot when you're feeling like quitting! All in all an amazing atmosphere and you deserve this race to be much bigger in future years.”

“A very nice touch that I could go around Newby Hall with the family afterwards, it gave them a reason to come over for the day and it’s a lovely place. Also even though I didn’t use the camping option this year that was a great thing to offer. I may be tempted to camp next year. I certainly plan to come back next year, but this time a bit more run training prior to the event.”
Ian Bennett
“Mark, great day and very well organised and compared by yourself, you manage to keep my 2 children and wife entertained for my 2 hour run which is no mean feat.”
Tim Evens
“Well done for today, it was a cracking event (as was the standard) well organised and a great day out for the family. I can see this event getting very popular as there isn't one like it up this way. I can see I'm going to have to work harder next year to get a result and maybe finally run Mr Howarth down!”
Tom Hughes
“Thank you for such a fab day. It was awesome the support by you and your team! It kept me going through the dark 3rd lap of the run! Definetly recommending this and all being well il be back next for the standard as well.”
