"This types of training is the most beneficial triathlon sessions you will ever do"
The BRICK session will be take place on most Thursday evenings during the summer months at the Bridge Hotel car park, 10km north of Wetherby next to the A168 ( see map below).
A small amount of secure racking will be provided for you to practice transition training, this will be manned during the specified training session (1800 to 1930). It is then your responsibility to ensure the security of your bike and training equipment.
Please be aware that this session will not be a formal coached session. However ,there will be one suggested session available, but it is entirely up to you what you wish to do during the 90 minute window.
The Bridge Hotel have kindly allowed us to use the overflow car park adjacent to the rear of the hotel. This offers you a safe way to filter onto the main carriageway.
The bike section of training ( out and back) will take place on the A168 which is an excellent, flat and safe section of road. Bike routes will not be marked; it will be your choice at point you wish to turn around using the roundabouts only. You are reminded that all riders are to abide by the Highway Code at all times.
The run section of training will be on the public footpath adjacent to the A168. The path is well protected from the road and is predominately flat with a great running suface. All runs will be an out and back with varying distance which will be marked accurately (1km, 1m, 2km and 2 mile). Athletes are reminded to run on the left hand side of the path at all times and are to be respectful of all other path users.
