The Rubicon Triathlon is set to become one of the UK's most popular events at the middle distance. Based at Newby Hall, North Yorkshire, this race is designed to be safe and fast. If you haven't ventured to the middle distance triathlon world just yet, then this is the race for you.  The Ripon Triathlon course is fantastic, flat and super quick.  In addition to this you get lots of FREEBIES with your race for you and the family.

The Ripon tri starts off 1900m down the beautiful River Ure inside the grounds of Newby Hall. A wide, gentle river, the downstream current for most of the course should carry you to a swim PB. It is both easy to navigate, and safe for those who are not as confident. The swim exit is one of the most iconic in the UK, as you climb the old boat access steps in front of the main hall and run through the gardens to your bike (route details). 

Once on your bike you will head through the local roads and out onto the A168. This flat and fast road is great for all standards of rider. It is wide and safe, but the surface and layout also offer riders the opportunity to settle into a rhythm and ride fast. You will come back through transition twice, offering your supporters the chance to cheer you on. The course lends itself to good times so you will some back in to T2 with a fast split, and lots of motivation for the run (route details).

The 4 lap run route gives those supporters ample opportunity to see you and cheer you on. For the competitor the route is perfect for pacing, and the atmosphere and support around the transition area will motivate you to a fast finish. The surface is great for running, being a mixture of tarmac and tracks within the grounds of Newby Hall. Those who have time to enjoy the scenery will not be disappointed (route details).
